International event for the introduction of electric mobility

RSE Spa, Italy, Climat Alliance, Germany, PVdF, France organized an international online event on November 4, 2020 within the e-SMART project, e-mobility SMART grid for passengers and last mile freight transports in the Alpine Space, Programme INTERREG Alpine Space. The online event was attended by 88 participants. In the general part of the event, intended for all participants, the experts presented activities and plans for the implementation of electric mobility in the areas of public road passenger transport, last kilometer logistics and the state of play in the field of energy. Beside Italian, French, Austrian and German, the event hosted many Slovenian speakers, namely experts from the companies NOMAGO, ARRIVA, Pošta Slovenije and Elektro Ljubljana. After a short break, the participants were divided into three interactive groups. The groups discussed obstacles, challenges and needs for the introduction of electric mobility in the fields of public passenger transport and last kilometer logistics, as well as the consequences of its implementation for the production and distribution of electricity.

The group summary had one thing in common. It will be necessary to look for smart solutions to reduce the cost of implementing electric mobility. At the same time, national and European financial incentives are and will be needed to achieve the goals.
