University of Applied Science in Kempten focusing in on e-mobility since 2009
The University of Applied Science in Kempten is the university in Allgäu which offers applied, interdisciplinary, international and pioneering higher education courses. Besides the education, the university offers a wide field of research & development projects. Since 2009 the university has extensive experiences in the field of electromobility. The main topics are: electrical power systems, power consumption models of several vehicle types to predict the energy consumption of the planned tracks, based on the driver model. ECO-coaching for fleet operators is another topic of applied research at the university. With the institute “Forschungszentrum Allgäu FZA” and the network „Technologienetzwerk Allgäu TNA” the university is advanced to a platform for customers and partners in common public government funded projects and contract research. Due to the regional, national and European partners, the university is a nationwide research facility in its field. With the participation in the project e-MOTICON the university has extended its knowledge in electric charging stations, the examination on the mobility patterns of Freilassing and the evaluation of electric charging stations data in Klagenfurt.
