Project Store More

A Store More project, co-financed by European funds – ERDF, through Interreg Danube programme, is a two and a half years project, addressing energy storage solutions, currently or potentially  playing an important role in green energy transition.

Store More project partners are going to analyse and promote energy storage solutions, developing tools to mitigate the intermittency of renewable energy sources (RES), contributing to an accelerated transition to renewable energy and more balanced electrical grids.

BSC, Ltd, Kranj – Regional Development Agency of Gorenjska, Slovenia is a partner in the project, together with twelve other partners from Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Croatia, Serbia, and Monte Negro. The project started in January 2024 and will end in June 2026. The lead partner of the project is Békéscsaba, City of County Rank (Békéscsaba) from Hungary.

Store More project aims to:

  • mitigate the fluctuation in RES and move towards a more balanced, secure and independent energy grid. Partners are exploring and developing innovative, scalable, and modular alternative electricity storage solutions. These options are designed to help smooth out the intermittency of RES and enable more effective use of green energy.
  • Enhance energy security in the Danube region by providing dependable energy storage solutions. These solutions will support the effective integration and use of local RES, thus contributing to the broader energy independence objectives of the region.
  • Provide a solution that is economically viable, environmentally friendly and technologically advanced. Partners are exploring and developing innovative, scalable and modular alternative electricity storage solutions, as well as leveraging artificial inteligence to manage RES more efficiently.

The kick off partners’ meeting was held on the 5th and 6th of March 2024, by the lead partner in Békéscsaba, where the content and management activities were discussed, as well as the envisaged results of the project.
