Regional mobility centres (RMC) are an organizational structure within six regional development agencies in Slovenia. The vision of the RMC operation is to increase the use of sustainable mobility resources through regional management, primarily with the aim of reducing the negative environmental impacts of traffic. Their role is to promote the use of sustainable mobility resources by connecting all key stakeholders at the local and national level. RMCs are established for the purpose of testing the mobility management system at the regional level.

The main tasks of regional mobility centres are:

• planning infrastructure and improving services for different forms of cycling
• improving the user experience of using public passenger transport and supporting the development of
  mobility as a service
• introduction of sustainable mobility policies
• promotion of sustainable mobility
• connecting services/products of mobility and tourism
• promoting the introduction of mobility on alternative fuel sources
• coordination and planning of integrated transport systems and spatial development

The RMC partially integrated the activities that the regional Development Agencies (RDA) implements in the field of sustainable mobility with projects, and partially started implementing additional activities in the test phase, e.g. regional promotion of sustainable mobility during the European Sustainable Mobility Week.
